been spending on e-bay again!!, managed to get myself a new garmin e-trex handheld gps for the kayaking over the weekend for £50, has anyone got or had one of these? never had a gps before so its all new to me, ive been told that these are idiot proof an easy to use, we will soon find out eh ;D ;D ;D
sat nav and a good sounds system next ;D ;D ;D

Is it the yellow one. I borrowed one of them once for walking it was really easy to use and you can store way points in it to (good for using if ya find a good fishing hole)

hi rzaskar, yeah it is the yellow one, have asked people in work that use them had lots of positive info on them so hopefully ive had a good buy.
hi donald, thanks for that, dont think its as advanced as that though, the colour mapping, will find out when i get it. ;D

I use the eTrex, have it mounted on a marine mount infront of me, works well, plan my days fishing the night before with a chart, enter the marks and away I go the next morning, it's amazing how far out I have been on a couple of the know marks when fishing off shore and there are no others fishing, now I'm bang on or there abouts. Interesting to see how far we actually paddle as well. Donald, that's the bunny that I aspire to. SM
