I wanted to order the garmin 140 portable, but there are none in the country at the moment and garmin cant give a certain date of delivery apparently. I know i could get the 140C and order the portable pack later probably but before I do, has anyone got any comments on this Eagle setup. I have heard to positive and negative comments about eagle, but this unit has a lot of resolving power and wide angle scanning power and other useful features .that is what i am looking for as i intend to be in mostly shallow waters with a fair bit of weed and cluttered ground beneath me. I know its grayscale but its clarity and resolution amongst other things that is important to me. Posted the spec in this link. Any comments would help i would like to get something ordered pretty soon. www.eaglegps.com/Products/Sonar/FishMark320.htmGeorge

im sure that one had a write up in either total sea fishing mag or sea angler, got a good review too, thats if it was that model, certainly looks the same. I had the eagle cuda 240 fitted to my boat, was a combined fishfinder and gps, was good to use although the gps was a little complicated, saying that ive only said that because i couldnt figure it out without reading the manual!! the sonar was really clear and showed up the bottom quite well, just wish i took it off the boat and kept it before i sold it

Cheers for that martin, What i should have said earlier is that i have ordered a garmin 140 portable not that i wanted to. I ordered it nearly 3 weeks ago - they cant deliver. I intend to cancel tomorrow and either get the 140 and try and find a portable pack for it later or i go for the eagle setup. Anymore comments on the eagle kit would be much appreciated. Thanks- george

for some reason a lot of people dont rate the eagles but i got along a treat with mine, well apart from being too lazy to figure out the gps on it!!, i went for the garmin for the bigger screen and the wider transducer angle, i just hope it serves me well and i dont end up upside down like the picture in my avatar!!
