Some time ago I took Dave and Johns advice and invested in a Lendal Knordcapp. Last Saturday while kayaking with a friend, we swapped paddles so he could see the difference. Not only was he surprised by the added power, but I was gobsmacked by how feeble his 'run of the mill' paddle felt compared with my knordcap. It was like I was paddling like crazy and not getting anywhere. It'll be interesting to see how many try new paddles on the Easter kayak meet. I don't think most kayakers realise how much they're limiting themselves.

i will be as many as possible.... i think you are right i had the chance to try a few paddles at the meet on sunday and realy found that they are totally different even though they look similar i would like to try stewart (natomi) blades on a carbon shaft .or kevin's (hatter) with straight set blades no feather and a short shaft .
