That'll cheer you up ;D You'll be like a boy with a new toy. Which one did you opt for in the end?

Ocean Drifter in Yellow and in the Angling Spec. It seemed the one for the size of my hams. I cant beleive what a bargain it was and must say go and get a quote from the link below. Now I can play with them ropes, anchors, trolleys, pulleys and all. It will be dress rehersal in living room on Monday. ;D

It came today and I was awoken by a rather large lorry outside my house. ;D Seems all in order and has taken up the lounge most of the day. Martin, I am game for a meet and just cant wait to get out in the next couple of weeks. ;D

Im in Central West Devon at Okehampton. From here I can cover Somerset, Devon and Cornwall with most places being less than an hours drive. Ideally, I am looking at St Austell Bay area in Cornwall and the coast down to about Falmouth. Find a cheap campsite and your made, let me know if you need any recommendations.

Rock fishing with Huss, Conger and Bass. You will also get Rays.
Best to get some decent size sandeel and leger them on bottom. Dont be too fussy with rigs and simply make up a pulley with a lead clip and a couple of beads. Very snaggy.
Was your post Kayak related? or about general fishing.

Its all here now. My paddle, PFD and Comfort Pro seat arrived with a courier this morning. The company www.familyadventurestore.co.ukeven supplied me with a load of rigging loops and well nuts free of charge. Cannot fault the service and best price out of all the suppliers on line. ;D I will take some photos of the Kayak and bits and put them on this link later. A post on the wellnuts may also be usefull to some members. So I am ready for the off, So thats Kayak, Seat, Paddle, PDF, Wetsuit, Rash vest, Anchor + Pulley system, Small Bouy, Trolley, Waterproof Containers, Rigging straps, Paddle leash, Bungees all sorted. Will buy a couple of small flares and maybe a vhf later but think this is enough to get out for some short practice sessions. Have I forgot anything else. I know for winter I will need some better clothing but its my Birthday and Xmas later in the year. ;D

going out in a kayak is the same as going out in a boat so don't take safety for granted a vhf should be one of the first things you buy, don't reley on your phone . That kind of kayaking gives the sport a bad name.
