hi guys here is some photos this is the anchor feeder made from a piece of plastic pipe with end caps just fill it with chum and drop it down the amount of holes should allow the tide to flow through it and not create to much drag on the anchor but the holes can be made bigger to allow faster flow of both bait and water . this photo shows the rubber insert which allows the fishfinder base to sit level on the kayak made from a sanding block from pound land this photo shows my home made scupper bungs made from pool noodle foam and a bit of corline note the wooden stops at the bottom

Hi Terry What diameter of rope or cord do you use and how much do you take out on the boat. I am getting a bit fed up with eight mil nylon rope it clutters the deck and cant be wound onto a small spool.

hi john i use 4 mm cord and have 150 feet on my reel b & q sell it in 75 foot lengths for 4.35 a coil i just joined 2 together and put a bit of shrink tube over the join that way i know how much is out and how much i have to pull in .and don't have any rough knots in the cord .

Like the look of that anchor feeder Zebra, have you given it a trial yet, would be interested to know if your catch rate improves over those around you. Could be useful for when the tope arrive. SM

hay david you just sussed out its main use I hope the big 4 pointed hook on the end with the chain on is strong enough for them tope . Seriously I have only tried it to see the flow rate from it not while fishing yet But my thoughts were that it would tempt larger fish in when the anchor is down because of the smell and food bits it will produce should leave quite a scent trail . I had limited success last year with tying duby bags to the anchor but found they tended to get ripped apart by the crabs so seamed to spend most of the time tying new bags on to the anchor hopefully them little critters will have a much harder time destroying this feeder .

Keep me posted, I've got a couple of trips to Towyn this year, first is the 2nd week in May and have a rod to build before then so may have a go at making one for the next trip in June/July. Last time out we were just sending out scraps as a scent trail, seemed to work for some, 14 Tope between 5 of us, I only had the one though so need all the help I can get SM
