I was talking with Martin the other day and he said he fancied a night fish from the kayaks, well how about this... weather permitting..(if the wind is above 5mph then we can't paddle around the point) We meet at 2.30 am Saturday morning at Morfa Nefyn. We paddle for a mile half to a good bass spot . We'll only have till 6am high tide, so if we fish it a hour or so over I'm sure we will do well. I have landed pollock, conger, bass, dogs and mackerel at this mark so it's worth a go. The 6th May is the only Saturday where the tide is rising during sunrise for the next 2 months. After the first session we go back to Dinas Dinlle for breakfast then the hardy can go out again (from Dinas Dinlle beach) after 12 in search of thorn backs and bull huss or maybe a tope?? and then finish off with a BBQ. There'll be burgers/sausages in the freezer in case we don't catch the dinner.

Have you got a plan 'B' if the weather turns nasty?

I will be up for that one, can i stress the importance of a fully chareged VHF. If you should happen to come off your kayak it willl be very hard to see you. Brookbank sell a small waterproof light wich attatches to your pfd it will last aprox 60 hours and they come in green and red. when i got mine the other year it cost me £11.50 well worth it

I don't know if this is any use - I often camp here when fishing that area. Very nice basic facilities. Just past Pontllyfni. There is a 'garage' looking shop ? on the corner. Book in at first bungalo in the lane, on left. multimap URL link below. makeashorterlink.com/?I5C021EFC

Don, that sounds definitely like pontllyfni, not almost. There is some good fishin' around there The campsite you mention can be recommended- only complaint is small shower block, otherwise had happy times there.

A glowstick tied to your PFD is as good as anything.

I'll sort something out for you after the weekend. No access to a computer for a few days. I wont post because the spot is not to be widely advertised. I will just pm anyone that is coming or is regular to our meets. John
