OK how about Sat 26th Aug to Sat 2nd Sept? This would be on the week that has a bank hol Mon so only 4 days off work needed.
Here's the proposed timetable. What do you think? Any complaints? Sat 26th Ferry to Dublin and drive to Connemara. Camp. Sun 27th Kayak mess about or rest. Mon 28th Kayak/fish for bass. Barbacue. Tue 29th Kayak to fyord. Fish for salmon. Camp wild. Cook on fire. Wed 30th Kayak back to camp and rest or fish. Thur 31st Kayak to one of the islands. Fish. Eat at resteraunt in Galway. Fri 1st Sept Drive back to East Ireland. Camp. kayak/fish or rest. Sat 2nd Sept Ferry and home. Send phots to Stitch.
Suggest everyone takes a spinning rod as it's nice to spin for bass and pollock from the beach while others rest at camp. I did this while Melissa slept in the tent. Beach was 15 yards from tent so she could shout for me if needed. Tide doesn't go out very far.
Campsite has shower/toilet block but that's all. Campsite is in the middle of nowhere! For those with kids, Westport is a 30 min drive with theme parks etc.

This pic taken from the tent so shows how close the beach is. And this is about 800 yards from the campsite where the sea enters the fyord.
