after seeing glyns coments on 23rd this helped me make up my mind of were to fish with my nephew was expecting lots of coalies but only managed 2 and 1 whiting on baited hokies these where tiny with 8 hooks so only baited the bottom 4 but the coalies took the unbaited ones seperatly .what a noisey day jets were taking off every 5 minutes ,does anyone know if they have particular training days all in all another great day but still cold

good to hear you were getting some fish, the jets from RAF valley are up and down all day 5 days a week, its a fast jet pilot training facility, i think they fly a lot at night during the week too, the only time you will get piece and quiet is at the weekend, or fit a rocket launcher to your yak!! ;D ;D ;D

dont blame you, when georgieb, the image and myself paddled the inland sea at holyhead they were all over the place then, and they do make a racket eh, saying that we were at the end of the runway more or less!!

i wouldnt have thought so, theres been planes there well before my time, i reckon the fish get used to it, just like mullet in a marina get used to the comings and going of people and noisy boats. the fishing in the inland sea is supposed to be second to none in the summer

Did you try Peeler? They wouldn't touch other baits. Also, why is your shore trip posted here instead of on the Wales forum where it would be useful to shore anglers?

kayaking glyn .no only had mackeral and sand eel ,float and hokies seperatly of course just seemed very slow even on the flood
