Tribble, zebra and myself decided to fish off the headland just to the left of trevor pier yesterday, the conditions weren't too bad when we started but when we got about a mile and half out the offshore wind picked up and begun to get a bit uncomfortable. Zebra headed back towards shore while tribble and me anchored up and tried for some fish, I fished hard on the bottom with a running ledger in about 50ft of water and landed 2 doggies! well they were like doggies, only smaller ;D ;D, it is there you know in the left hand footwell, it nearly got out through the scupper holes ;D ;D ;D The highlight of the day were the visitors we had, about a dozen or so dolphins, they weren't scared either they came right up to the yaks for a nosey!! this looks like tenerife rather than trevor! some of them were big fish too about the length of our kayaks. two of them swam past zebras yak within touching distance about a foot under water. What an amazing experience to be so close to them in our waters, we were surprised how tame they were too, but we all had this thought of us getting knocked out of our yaks!! who wants to catch fish when you can have an experience like that, i wasn't going to put my feathers back in the water though, didn't fancy hooking one and getting dragged up towards the straits at 20 knots ;D ;D

I can only say it was a great experience being so close to these wonderful creatures they were all around us at one stage I looked down in the water and directly below myself /martin and Dave their was 3 of them about 4ft below us and one breaking surface about 6 ft away it was a nervy experience having them so close we were expecting to be bumped out at any minute they were about the 8ft long and weighed about 350/400 lbs .I had one touch my paddle blade when it was in the water .but a great experience .
