Sorry for the delay with these. Perfect conditions and a flat calm sea. Awesome night time beauty. The only sound was the paddles in the sea. Fantastic eerie feeling. Getting ready. This pic of me returning shows what perfect conditions we had. Home to shore. Only 3 hours sleep the night before I was tired! In comes John The monster from the deep!

The poloroids made a difference and I could see a lot of what was going on underneath like shoals of sandeel on the move!

its also important to wear some eye protection to stop the glare from the water while fishing so the poloroids are an important investment for all us kayakers.

Eye protection is also very important when fly fishing. Good quality polaroids are essential for sight fishing, i.e. spotting and casting to individual fish.

You should always wear safety glasses or poloroids while fly fishing as it is possible for the fly to be blown off course on the back cast and into your eye. I've seen a number of photos of this in the flyfishing press.
