Ive seen these hand paddles on e-bay, has anyone ever used them? obviously they're not as affective as a normal paddle but after seeing them Ive been thinking of getting a set to put to one side for emergency's. At moelfre last Sunday i was fishing at anchor and the tide pull uncoupled my paddle off my leash, i was lucky to have noticed it as soon as it happened and the fact that georgeb was at hand to recover it, it could have all ended in tears I suppose they are easy enough to make rather that buy, Anyone got any thoughts on these?

Would be better off buying a 4 piece paddle or perhaps a canoe paddle and fix inside the hatch so that it doesn't disappear inside the hull in the event of a spill. Alternatively buy yourself a proper leash that won't uncouple. SM
