Kayaks at Criccieth mid August ?

Have taken delivery of a Malibu 2 for me and the Mrs and 2 x Kea's for the kids . we have given them a test drive at West Kirby marina and really had a laugh - jumping out, capsizing etc. Not too keen on going out on either the Mersey or Dee until I'm a bit more experienced with kayaking (maybe never with the tidal race and shipping traffic there !) Anyway, once my current offshore trip is completed, I hope to spend a bit of time in Criccieth, from the middle of August, so are there ary kayakers in the vicinity who wouldn't mind showing me the ropes for an angling set up, or just going for a paddle ?

I'll be down at Pwllheli for 2 1/2 weeks from the 11th, with a bit of luck I should have a boat by then and would be great to meet up

I have a book on dive sites along the North Wales coast and am pretty sure that there is a good reef near Pwllheli Butlins - that could be worth a visit

No specifics, but I should be there from ~ 21st also for a week. Will post more when I know for sure.
