Hi Donald,
I really like the look of the orange tandem in your first pic (Dunkeld?), I've heard orange can be a good colour for sea trout in the straits, any experience?

Several of us have posted thoughts on how to use lures. The same 'rules' apply to flies. Colour is the last 'variable' to change when fishing. It is also the first variable you 'choose' when buying them - inverse logic there ! ! Brows through the comments on lure use. Location, depth, direction, speed, action and size come well before colour choice.
