i want to try a lure from my kayak but will have just one telescopic rod and a single lure ready tied on. limited to room on my kayak which isnt built for angling and its awkard for tying lures but early this morning i saw schools of bass cruising lazily under my keel and no they werent mullet or herring. its a very picturesqe spot and i want to go back with rod and lure so my big big question is what lure. only one lure makes it a crucial decision.

Same old argument!, Dexter or Toby? Whatever works for you I guess? With the Dexter Wedge you can cast it further and cover more ground, even use it as a pirk, or at the end of a string of small Hokkai lures, Ideal off your yak.

Dexter wedge. You can even jig it up and down with a bit of bait on it. 3oz or 4oz best for you. A nice tip here, you can get treble hooks for these from Dexters which have coloured hair around it and if you use the blue ones they're dynamite for bass. I was using this yesterday see my report on northeast forum.
